When will I get my order?

Following confirmation of the design and VIN to be engraved please expect a lead time of up to 7 working days for creation of your portfolio. Where possible, we will endeavour to ship faster than this.

Following placing your order payment being made there will be anoption to submit a photo for us to create the engraving design. The Chassis & Hide team will reach then out to confirm the final design prior to starting construction.

Yes. At an additional cost, in early 2027 we will begin offering the ability to complete fully customisable engravings over the whole folder. We will also begin offering a service to match the materials and colours of the portfolio to your vehicle. Please reach out to us directly at concierge@chassisandhide.com to enquire about a more bespoke one off commission.

What are the portfolios made of?

The exterior of the portfolio is made from (in our opinion) the best naturally tumbled vegetable tanned leather shoulder available on the market. The grain is not printed and will therefore vary from skin to skin and within the skin itself. Each hide is treated with extracts of trunk and bark inside wood barrels, greased with a mixture of animal fats and then coloured in a drum. Pulling up the skin beneath will reveal a depth of rich colour. Rubbing the skins with a dry cloth will burnish it brighter as well as moving the colour darker.

The interior of the portfolio is made from matt, velour nap suede which is a classic leather. Suede has a nap velour finish and is generally more flexible and softer than other full grain leathers.

All materials are UK sourced.

Where are your products manufactured?

We are very proud that all of our materials are sourced and portfolios are manufactured in the UK. We rely on the deep routed heritage and craftsmanship built up in the country over many generations.
