Shipping policy

At Chassis & Hide, every custom portfolio is handcrafted and made to order. Because our pieces are tailored specifically for you, our fulfillment process requires design approval before crafting and dispatching your item.

1. Production Lead Time & Processing

Unlike standard off-the-shelf goods, our bespoke items follow a design-and-craft process.

  • Fulfillment Window: Orders are crafted and dispatched within 7 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays).

  • When Does the 7-Day Window Begin? The 7-day production period begins from the date and time you confirm and approve your custom folder design proof, not from the original date you placed your order on our website.

  • Design Approval Step: After checkout, our concierge team will email you a digital design proof/mockup. Production begins as soon as you approve this proof. Replying promptly to our design approval email will ensure your item enters production without delay.

2. Delivery Methods & Shipping Estimates

Where possible, all UK orders are dispatched via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery (Signed For), ensuring swift transit and signature confirmation upon delivery.

Estimated shipping transit times after the 7 working day production window completes:

  • UK Mainland: 1–2 working days (dispatched via 1st Class Recorded Delivery where available)

  • UK other: 3–7 working days (Tracked & Signed)

  • Please note: Delivery transit times apply after your item has been crafted and dispatched.

3. Tracking & Signature Requirements

Because items are sent via recorded delivery, a signature may be required upon receipt. As soon as your order ships, you will receive an automated shipping confirmation email containing your tracking reference so you can follow its delivery.
